We woke up to the sound of rain on our tent, but by the time we got out it had stopped temporarily. We used the chance and quickly made breakfast and packed away the tent. As we cycled out of the campground the rain became off and on, but we had our full rain gear on.
We took some scenic backroads on our way to Vernon. As we got closer the sky cleared up and we had beautiful sunny weather. There was a few tough hill climbs, but we eventually made it to Vernon. We were quite tired, but we were motivated to make it to Dave and Patti’s. When we arrived we were welcomed with open arms and had an amazing dinner. We also met their son Sean and his wife Tracey, and their one year old daughter Deelah. We had a great time, thank you so much Dave and Patti!
