Day 93 – 3 months since the start of our trip – well rested and ready to tackle the Rocky Mountains

Time has flown by and today marks the 3 month point since the start of our trip.

We took the past week off in and around the Calgary area, and we are heading back on our bikes tomorrow. The weather hasn’t been great over the last week, and it doesn’t look like it is going to get much better as we tackle the Rockies this week. But we did go to Mountain Equipment Coop while we were in Calgary and upgraded Katherine’s sleeping bag to a warmer one, and I equipped myself with leg warmers and long fingered gloves. We are ready for anything now! 😉

We are planning on taking Highway 1A to Canmore tomorrow, then to Banff the next day. After Banff our planned itinerary is towards Lake Louise, Golden, Kelowna, Penticton, then to Vancouver. The temperatures are much warmer in the Okanagan Valley around Kelowna so we are looking forward to it (not to mention the stunning view of the Rocky Mountains)!
