We’ve been very busy lately and the time has just been flying by. We left our jobs in Ontario at the end of May, sold or gave away most of our belongings (it wasn’t much), and moved our essentials into storage at Katherine’s parents’ place here on Prince Edward Island. What’s been keeping us even busier is getting ready for our wedding which is happening this weekend. After our wedding we are going to try to finish up getting ready for our trip, while I try to squeeze in as many World Cup game as I can before we leave. I am hoping I’ll be able to somehow catch some of the games on our trip!
We went for a couple bike rides with our bikes fully loaded this past week. I don’t think we’ll be breaking any speed records. I thought things were so far so good, but I’m sure the first couple weeks will still be rough. We’ll take it slow at first and our only goal is to make it past the rockies before it snows so I think we should be okay.
The weather was insanely warm at the end of May. It’s cooled down quite a bit since then, especially out here in the East Coast. It’s actually been raining quite a bit over the last few days but it looks like it’s going to clear up for the next little while. Hopefully it stays that way because taking off in the cold rainy weather is not going to happen!
I’ll try to post some pictures of us and our bikes in the next week before we leave.
